The Codey Network has over 75 years of combined communication experience, serving in key roles at leading organizations such as Blanc and Otus, Cunningham Communication and Forbes FYI, Harvard and Stanford. We know how to use communications to help move your business forward.

"Codey" combines two of the founder's great passions: the marketing of software "code" and her beloved dog "Cody" who taught her that there is more to life than just work. We are dedicated and well rounded professionals. We live life and we work hard. Passion permeates everything we do.

   
 

Our Bios

Aimee L. Quemuel
With 13 years of communications experience, Aimee Quemuel acts as both the strategist and day-to-day contact for clients and is the founder of Codey Communications. Specializing in fast-growth technology companies often characterized by limited resources, Aimee is skilled at devising creative ways to achieve maximum results at a cost effective price point. A results driven practitioner, Aimee has facilitated dozens of key relationships for her clients resulting in thousands of articles, analyst reports and speaking engagements. In addition to PR experience, Aimee is an experienced marketer having acted as the interim VP of Marketing for many of her start up clients.

Throughout her career, she has managed PR and marketing programs for dozens of clients such as: Aceva; Accrue Software, Inc; Central Desktop; Informix, Inc., Oracle Corp.; Nokia, Inc.; AlphaBlox Corp.; AuctionWatch, Inc.; @TheMoment, Inc.; BigMachines, Inc.; BigVine, Inc.; CenterBeam, Inc.; Entopia, Inc.; E-Stamp Corporation; Maxager; North Solutions; Pilot Software; Synacor, Inc; SupportSoft; TopDown Consulting; WebEx Communications; and Vengroff, Williams and Associates.
Prior to her career in PR and marketing, Aimee worked for Global Sports, a sports marketing firm; KCSN radio, where she was awarded the coveted Golden Mike Award for excellence in reporting; and KADY Television.

A true believer in work life balance, Aimee splits her time between San Francisco and Ventura, California so she can spend time with her family and childhood friends and still keep her foot in the technology Mecca of the world. She is an avid runner; organic consumer; dog lover and animal rights advocate; and practices meditation and yoga. In addition, she is an active community member having volunteered at numerous organizations including Other Avenues; the San Francisco SPCA; Pet's Unlimited; and The Big Brother/Big Sister program.

Juliet Travis
Juliet is a multifaceted communicator with over 10 years of marketing, communications and public relations experience running core and strategic programs. She is results-oriented and extremely media-savvy, continually securing press coverage in multiple business, consumer, technology and vertical publications. Juliet has launched a variety of companies, from technology to consumer, and managed campaigns for large public companies.

Juliet has also held senior level management positions at small, medium and large national and international agencies including Fleishman-Hillard, GCI Group and Schwartz Communications, as well as director-level positions at two startups. She has worked with an array of emerging technology clients that include: Nokia, to launch its secure Internet products and services; Visa International, on its corporate positioning for e-commerce, mobile commerce and universal commerce; Pacific Bell to rollout its broadband services throughout California, Nortel Networks, Globalstar, and many others.

Juliet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California at Berkeley.

Lynne Collins
Lynne Collins brings more than eight+ years of consumer and high-technology PR expertise to Codey. For the past three years, she directed both internal and external public relations for bargain shopping Web site, Overstock.com, working with the company from its inception in 1999 through its public offering and current market position as an e-commerce leader. Her primary objectives in working with Overstock were to differentiate the company's offerings from other e-commerce sites and to increase its exposure with customers, partners and investors. She helped position Overstock as an e-commerce success story with hits in virtually every major business and consumer news source, from The Wall Street Journal to ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and everything in between. As an additional proof point of her success, during her first year promoting Overstock and a year of enormous growth for the company, CEO Patrick Byrne credited PR with generating 45% of the company's sales.

Prior to becoming a consultant, she worked for two top PR agencies, Cunningham Communication Inc. in Silicon Valley and Red Whistle, the consumer technology spin-off of The Weber Group in San Francisco, where she managed a wide variety of private and public companies, from major software players competing in highly competitive markets, such as Adobe Systems and Novell, to start-ups like flyswat seeking acquisition by a bigger-name brand. She offers smart strategic counsel in marketing communications, people and project management, creative conceptualization and writing, media relations and client service that delivers results.

Lynne Collins holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and a certification in Technical Writing

Jeff Ward
With over 15 years in the graphic arts field, Jeff Ward brings a depth of experience in art direction, graphic design and and prepress to the Codey network. His expertise in print and web design has brought print collateral, web sites, Internet marketing vehicles, tradeshow signage, identity and presentation graphics to life for a wide range of clients in technology, media, and retail. His in-depth knowledge of prepress technology and HTML ensures that each of these projects are produced at maximum quality and optimal cost, in a timely way. Current and past clients include Weathernews Inc., PC World Magazine, WorldLink LLC, Elliot Larlee Advertising, and a broad range of small and medium size companies throughout the bay area.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Washington State University

Mark Charmer
Mark Charmer is an independent London-based consultant who helps companies to deliver successful PR and communications campaigns. He has particular expertise in handling the difference between UK, pan-European and US styles of media communications programmes.

Mark specializes in the business of technology, advising companies and helping them to forge relationships with journalists who write about their field, its players and its impact on business and the consumer. He has experience of both agency-oriented and in-house public relations and possesses strong contacts in the UK national, business and trade media. This experience came through working as a press officer for several top IT firms including Apple, Compaq, Dell and Hewlett-Packard and at London-based PR agency Firefly.

Since 1997, he has worked with various companies as a consultant, including Hill and Knowlton, Mahseer PR, Beattie Media, Kaizo Public Relations and Dell UK. He consults on best-practices and has managed or advised on the set-up or restructuring of several multi-million pound agency divisions. Alongside these roles he still works with journalists and clients directly, creating media coverage and helping journalists get a good story
